ISA allowance tracker

Capital at risk. The value of investments can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you put in. Past performance is not a guide to future returns.

Last updated: .

Add up what you’ve paid into each type of ISA this tax year (6 April to 5 April) and see how much of the overall allowance you’ve used. It’s a simple running total to help you keep track — your ISA providers’ records are what count.

FSCS protects eligible deposits up to £120,000 per person, per authorised institution.

Illustrative only, not financial advice. Results depend entirely on the figures you enter. The figures filled in below are example figures, not live rates or recommendations.

How this tracker works

It adds together the amounts you enter for each ISA type and takes the total away from the allowance figure at the top. For 2026/27 the overall allowance is £20,000 (source: GOV.UK). Lifetime ISA payments count towards that overall figure and also have their own yearly limit, shown here as £4,000.

A Junior ISA has its own separate allowance and doesn’t count towards yours, so it isn’t included here. Transfers of previous years’ ISA money don’t use up this year’s allowance either.

Never withdraw cash yourself when transferring an ISA — always use your new provider’s official ISA transfer service to preserve your tax-free status.

Things to check

  • Whether your ISA is flexible — some let you withdraw and replace money in the same tax year without it counting twice. This tracker doesn’t model that.
  • Your providers’ own statements, which show exactly what has been subscribed.
  • Lifetime ISA rules, including the government bonus and the withdrawal charge — see our Lifetime ISA rules guide.
  • Any announced changes to ISA rules and the dates they apply from, on GOV.UK.

FAQ

Does a Junior ISA count towards my allowance?

No. A Junior ISA has its own separate allowance, so it isn’t included in this tracker.

Do ISA transfers use up my allowance?

Transferring money you paid in during previous tax years doesn’t use this year’s allowance. Money paid in this tax year keeps counting towards this year if it’s transferred.

Is this tracker a record of my ISA payments?

No. It only adds up the figures you type in. Your ISA providers’ records are what count.

Does it save my figures?

No. Everything is worked out in your browser and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
